You deserve a doula.

Hello, I’m Michelle.

I was born and raised in Rhode Island. From infancy, I spent my summers in the Narragansett Bay swimming and quahogging by the Point Judith Light. Being born in the Ocean State has solidified a place in my identity. From a young age, I understood the power and the beauty of that “Big water” (as I used to call it) from the shore. Water carries rythmos, which is why I named my practice “rythmos.birth”. It is an integral part of who I am and the work I was called to do.

I have worn many hats as a family caregiver since 2012. Nanny, housekeeper, motherly figure, confidant, therapist, interpreter, chef, chauffeur– I have experienced so much in the homes of a multitude of families in Rhode Island and beyond. I consider myself blessed to have been a part of the intimate moments families share when they realize they have become pregnant, and to have been of service to them in the postpartum. I have been there for families when there was loss, too. I am proud to have been a rock for these families throughout the seasons of their lives, albeit a “soft” rock.

When I can manage to find some me-time, I like to spend it reading a book on a hammock, taking an outdoor walk, swimming or even just being by the water, and cooking for loved ones.
